District D-4370 Rotary Foundation Seminar in Caracas a great success
Wednesday, July 13, Rotarians participated in the District Rotary Foundation seminar in the Hotel Eurobuilding in Caracas. From 4 pm different working desks were initiated in the Topaz meeting room of the above-mentioned Hotel, with a District assistance of more than 80 Rotarians from more than 15 Clubs. The working tables had 7 topics of the Foundation and a rotation of 3 times culminated at 7 p.m. At 7:30 PM Governor Thomas Hacker initiated his welcome words to the attendees of the second part that was followed by a dinner where the Regional Coordinator of the Rotary Foundation for zone 21-A, José Manuel Herrero showed us the Foundation goals for the year 2011-2012 and the successful results of our District in the last year. Finally, 105 Rotarians came to this District Seminar. The Club with highest assistance percentage was Rotary Club Cafetal who took the award of this event (100 pins End Polio Now). Also in assistance was Lawrence Bennett from the Rotary Club of Curacao. This Club received the recognition of the highest Club contribution to POLIO. The young people of Interact and Rotaract accompanied us and presented their different programs for the raising of funds, such as a book about Venezuela in 5 Languages and End Polio Now bracelets. Rotaract was represented by its District Representavive Robert de la Cruz.
